Softball Wins Region Quarterfinals Championship

The Aubrey softball team swept Celina in two games to take the 4A Region II quarterfinal championship. The Lady Chaps won the home game, 3-1 and then won at Celina, 4-1 to earn the sweep.

Aubrey advances to the region semifinals. The Chaps advanced to the region quarterfinals for the third straight year and move on to the semifinals for the second straight year.

Brynlie Dunkin earned the win in the circle, allowing one run off three hits. Aubrey led off the game with three runs and held the lead the entire game.
