About Aubrey Athletics

Aubrey ISD competes in UIL Class 4A. In 2022-24, Aubrey High School will compete 4A Division 2 for football. Football will compete in Region 2 District 5, while basketball and volleyball teams will compete in Region 2 District 11-4A . 

Aubrey ISD has one high school. Aubrey High School participates in UIL football, girls volleyball, boys and girls cross country, boys and girls basketball, baseball, softball, boys and girls golf and boys and girls track. AHS also competes in boys and girls powerlifting and just added boys and girls soccer in June of 2022. 

Numerous teams had record-setting seasons in 2021-22. All team sports advanced to the playoffs, two teams advanced to the region finals and two teams won district championships. Individually, 9 athletes committed to play in college, 1 girls powerlifter won a state title and two were state runner-up, 3 boys track athletes were state qualifiers and 10 athletes received all-state honors.

  • The football team advanced to the region finals. Twelve players were named THSCA Academic All-State, and six were named to two all-state teams. 
  • The volleyball team advanced to the regional finals for the second year in a row. There were two TGCA All-State players and four academic all-state players. 
  • Cross country had a boys Region 2 meet qualifier
  • The girls basketball team advanced to the bi-district playoff game for the second year in a row.
  • The boys basketball team advanced to the bi-district playoff game.
  • The girls powerlifting team placed 1st at the regional meet and 3rd at the state meet in Class 4A Division II. 
  • The softball team advanced to the region semifinals.
  • The baseball team advanced to the bi-district playoffs and had 11 players named all-district. 
  • The boys track team won the district championship, area and region championship.
  • 3 track athletes competed at the UIL state track meet.
  • The boys golf team won district championship and competed at region meet. Two golfers were named academic all-state.
