Ten Lady Chaps Advance to Area Track Meet

The Aubrey girls track team finished in 6th place at the UIL 9-4A District Championship on Thursday, April 1.
Favor Odimba was the district champion in Long Jump and Heather Hough is the district runner up in Pole Vault.
The 4ooM Relay made up of Maci Weatherby, Olivia Nkwodinma, Jenna Smith and Favor Odimba finished in 4th place with a time of 51.88 and qualified to advance to Area. The 800M Relay, made up of Olivia Nkwodinma, June Chatterley, Maria Maldonado, and Favor Odimba also finished in 4th place with a time of 1:50.41, qualifying for Area.
Odimba grabbed a bronze medal in the open 200M and a chance to compete at Area.
“As coaches, we are very proud of the improvement and effort given throughout the season,” Aubrey coach Kristin Giddens said. “We are excited to see what our girls can do next week at the Area Meet on Wednesday, April 7 at Bobcat Stadium in Celina.”
