MJ Woodward was announced as the inaugural head girls soccer coach at Aubrey High School in June of 2022. Coach Woodward will focus on building the girls soccer program at AHS, recruiting players, holding practices and scheduling non-UIL games. The program will be evaluated after the first season to determine future entry to UIL competition.
“I’m thrilled to bring the excitement of chartering the girls soccer program at Aubrey High School,” Coach Woodward said. “I”m looking forward to building relationships with athletes, students, coworkers and the Aubrey community.”
Coach Woodward served as the head coach of the South Garland High School girls soccer team for five years. In 2018, she took the varsity team to the playoffs for the first time in 12 years, and she was voted District 10-6A Coach of the Year.
Coach Woodward graduated from Texas A&M University Commerce with a bachelor’s degree in sport management and a minor in business. She also has a master’s degree at TAMUC in athletic administration.
Outside of work, Coach Woodward enjoys traveling, staying active, reading, and spending time with her two dogs, Decker and Diesel.
