James DuMond was announced as the inaugural head boys soccer coach at Aubrey High School in June of 2022. Coach DuMond will focus on building the boys soccer program at AHS, recruiting players, holding practices and scheduling non-UIL games. The program will be evaluated after the first season to determine future entry to UIL competition.
“I’m excited and honored to be the school's inaugural boys soccer coach, and I’m looking forward to meeting and exceeding the community's needs with creating a strong and competitive soccer foundation,” Coach DuMond said.
Coach DuMond has 15 years of experience coaching high school boys soccer. Prior to coming to AHS, he was the assistant coach at Frisco Memorial High School for three years.
Coach DuMond also served as an assistant at Arlington Seguin for six years, playing against 5A and 6A schools. He also worked at Duncanville High School where he accumulated an 81-5-6 sub-varsity record in five years and was part of multiple playoff appearances. Coach DuMond was also part of a regional quarterfinalist team at Red Oak High School as an assistant.
Coach DuMond received his bachelor’s degree from UNT and his master’s from Lamar University. He and his wife, Kathryn, have twins.
